Why do we have so many differents types of churches and denominations? Do we NEED to be baptized to be saved? Have you ever been involved with a church that stressed a certain aspect "churchianity"? Explore these ideas and more: Why do scientists and others change their principles every decade or so? Do they know less facts than we think? We're not as smart as we think we are, but you know what, that's just the place where God can use us!

How do you explain the color blue to a blind man? Unless he's given sight he cannot fully understand it. This is just like presenting the Gospel.
Do you think that you're presentation of the Gospel towards those you love is weak sometimes? Well you're in good company, Paul tells us here that it's not our approach to sharing, but the message itself that has the POWER to save souls!

I Corinthians 3 - Will Cass
Are you a "Carnal Christian"? Am I one? Do you know a believer that puts the emphasis on a minister's skills or gifts instead of on the work of Jesus? One of the facets of of this lesson is that when building the foundation to our Christian life, we must build on the Rock of Jesus Christ himself and His Word. All else will lead to ruin. What a strong confidence we can have that when the storms come, our life will stand unmovable because it's built on Jesus!

Doesn't it make sense that no one person has new or special information about God? We ALL have equal ability to know Him thru His Word! So because we're accountable to God, we can say whatever needs to be said in truth and love to our friends and family however difficult it may be to say. Hey! If you haven't noticed, getting the world to like you, as a Christian, ISN'T gonna work! So let's be a strong Christian that others will want to imitate!

I Corinthians 5:1 - 6:11 - Will Cass
Sex is a powerful force. Just like fire, beautiful within the right context but destructive and dangerous when in other context. In this letter to us, we're told to judge the sinful habits going on amongst those at your church. If you have even wanted to understand "tough love", this is your message! How could it be that kicking habitual sinners out of the church can actually help the church....AND the one kicked out? Compare these: your body and the body of Christ which is the church. A healthy body will fight off infection AND visa versa.

When a Pastor is caught committing adultery, people whisper, "....and he did it AT THE CHURCH!" Yet there are so many things that we allow to go on in our HEARTS and MINDS that aren't of Christ. Aren't WE the temple of God?

How much clearer could God's will involving marriage be spelled out to us? Maybe, God simply wants us to focus on glorifying Him thru our situation. Is butter good for you? Coffee is good for you, no wait, coffee is bad for you... The universe is expanding, no, it's not expanding. Just when we think we have it all figured out, then science (or the 'known facts') change! Be careful of what you think you know apart from what God has revealed to us as truth. Knowledge can only puff someone up, but love....yes love can build everyone up. This message from God's Word has us consider how we can positively engage others that are weaker or stronger in their Christian walk than us. Here's a teaser from this message to consider: The ONLY power behind an idol is the weakness of ones conscience.

Why do I sometimes take the very items that God has blessed me with and use them for selfish purposes? This story of Israel will help guide us into a life of blessing from God as we live by faith!

What types of temptation have you faced today? This interesting study in God's Word will challenge you with some provative questions like: Could giving in to temptation really be rooted in idolatry? Do we have the idols of sex, drugs, or too much x-box? Do WE want to destroy our idols or do we want to wait until God destroys our idols. If you pay attention and watch, you'll recognize idols because they will interupt you from your spiritual walk with the Lord!

I Corinthians 11:1-16 - Will Cass
Every organization has a head or leader; jobs, families, any project with more than one person. Have you ever thought about the fact that, as awesome as angels are, they are still IN a chain of command! If you're someone who desires to be "a person of authority", this message will challenge you to first be "a person in authority"! The person Jesus praised highest for his faith was the Roman Centurion of Luke 7:9 who understood he had people below AND above him.
Also pay close attention and we'll see just how many traditions we pick up from our mentors and leaders; some good and some not so good. Let's just make sure they don't overrule what God wants from us!

Did you know that there's only 5 times in the Bible that Paul says, "I don't want you to be ignorant about _______" and the subject of spiritual gifts is one of them! Do you know how you are gifted? How about the people around you, how are they gifted? Now...what do we do to put these gifts into action!!
We need all Christians to be utilizing their gifts. We should be concerned to make this happen! Just as when a splinter is in your little finger, your whole being is concerned until it's resolved. Plus, in this study, there is an amazing picture of the Trinity of God!! Watch...

Love is like fuel for a car. You can have the best car in the world with all the coolest features but without gas...you won't get anything accomplished! I Corinthians 15:1-28 - Will Cass
This message is a great compendium about the resurrection!! You will be raised from the dead one day! Some say that the idea of being raised from the dead is just a newer idea? What about that? Does Abraham, Jonah or Leviticus 14 speak of the resurrection?
Think about it this way, if there is NO resurrection then there is NO purpose to life! Bad would go unpunished and good would go unrewarded. Next time you talk to a friend...or foe, remind them that they WILL living forever...somewhere....

I Corinthians 15:29 - 16:24 - Will Cass
This passage has a reference to "baptizing for the dead". Have you ever heard of that? In this message Paul finishes talking about the cornerstone of our Christian faith and that is...the resurrection! Why would anyone hazard their life for ANY CAUSE if there is NO RESURRECTION? You want proof that their IS resurrection? Take a listen. Are there actual clues regarding what our new bodies will be like? Plus, this message will challenge you to throw off the addictions of this life (drugs, xbox, sex, pursuit of stuff etc.) and to make Jesus Christ the addiction of your life!

II Corinthians 1 - Will Cass
The Lord here shows us how our trials are small but seem so big. It's interesting how time give perspective! And why is it that because the simplicity of the Gospel is foolishness to the people around us, they choose to try to discredit the minister of Christ? Maybe because they can't discredit the Message!
